Blog: Creative Ramblings

Cendrine Marrouat’s blog is self-hosted on WordPress.

WeBlog Roundup (WBRU): What is your blog about?

Cendrine Marrouat (CM): Creative Ramblings is about social media with a particular focus on independent artists and entrepreneurs, rather than big businesses.

WBRU: How did you pick the topic for Creative Ramblings?

CM: When I started my career as an independent artist, I quickly realized that the road to good exposure is paved with challenges. As I had no one to guide me in the right direction, I chose not to wait for success to find me.

I started doing a lot of research and actually enjoyed my finds. As I discovered Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and learnt to use other social networking sites, I realized that social media was becoming unavoidable.

When I had acquired sufficient knowledge on the topic, I started sharing through discussions with people. They advised me to start blogging, which I did. And now, I cannot live without it!

WBRU: How is Creative Ramblings different from other blogs that cover the same or similar information?

CM: My blog is unique in the sense that I offer a no-nonsense and honest approach based on my personal experience.

I like to create articles and tutorials that are easy for people to understand — something that I have enjoyed doing since my days as a teacher.

WBRU: What do you like most about blogging?

CM: I love the freedom that blogging brings. There is neither deadline no contract. I can write whenever I want and share my thoughts on any topic relevant to my niche.

Most people do not realize how important blogging is when it comes to building a solid reputation online.

WBRU: How often do you update Creative Ramblings?

CM: I try to do it four or five times a week. However, I also have three other blogs. Further, I hold six titles with Examiner.com, including Canada Social Media Examiner. So juggling with everything can be quite challenging…

WBRU: What else would you like to share with readers of your profile?

CM: Apart from blogging, I am also a freelance journalist/reviewer, published author and translator.

I am always interested in spotlighting independent artists and experts in the social media field, so contact me.

  1. Cendrine has been instrumental through her social media and web presence in exposing countless Independent artists. I am personally thankful for her approach which is professional and passionate. Not only is she a tireless artist advocate and promoter, she is an AMAZING poet and author. I have several of her works and they have been great to read and go to for times when I need some inspiration. Thank u for featuring Cendrine!
